What the Education Group does
You can learn about the life cycle, biology and importance of honey bees and other pollinators. During the summer term from within a bee-proof hide – and subject to suitable weather – groups are introduced to the workings of a real beehive in our apiary where we will show you eggs, larvae, worker bees, drones and we hope the queen (She can be elusive).
Other groups. After school and adults.
We welcome visits from groups of all ages. Although we will normally follow the plan for school visits we will adapt this to take account of the group’s make-up and area of interest. Please discuss this in advance of your visit.
